February 10, 1925 – Broadway Boys town basketball team played Timberville High School in auditorium here. Score was 20 – 18 in favor of Broadway.
February 20, 1925 – annual social of the Polly Anna (Girls) Sunday School class of Reformed Church held tonight at school house auditorium. About 100 people present. Quite a number of games and contests were held. Admission fee was five cents for each foot in height plus a penny for each additional inch. The evening was well enjoyed.
February 11, 1926 – Cold and great deal of wind this forenoon. Snow drifting made the road impassable between Timberville and Broadway on the bluff.
February 20, 1926 – The picture “Martin Luther” at Timberville Theatre tonight. The picture did not do the man justice. Small number of people there as there was a basketball game at the High School gymnasium tonight.
January 13, 1912 – Fifteen or twenty townspeople were skating on the river below the bridge. The temperature dropped to 15 below zero while they were skating. At 1:30 on this night, the temperature was 20 below zero at the Miller-James Store.
January 14, 1910 – Hilliar, a noted magician, gave a performance at the old school house tonight for the benefit of the Brass Band. Proceeds amounted to $27.00.
January 22, 1904 – A literary society originated and was given the name Timberville Literary Society.
January 7, 1910 – Literary Society meeting tonight. The debate was “Iron is more serviceable to mankind than gold.” The judge decided in favor of the affirmative side.
February 1902 – The Timberville Lodge of the “Odd Fellows” was organized. They used to meet in the upstairs floor of the old Minnich’s Store building on Main Street.
January, 1943 – A windstorm blew the bell tower from the top of the school.
