January, 1943 – A windstorm blew the bell tower from the top of the school.
November 11, 1916 – Charles E. Kipps bought 47 acres of land near Timberville for $5000. Out over the ridge on right side of the road.
In 1916, men’s suits sold for $25 and men’s overcoats were from $7.98 to $22.50. a dozen oranges .30 cents; walnut kernels, 30 cents per pound; a quart of oysters .35 cents.

Friday, February 8, 1924 – The play “Listen Ladies” was given by the ladies of the town and community in the school auditorium. Auditorium was nearly full. The proceeds will be used for the support of the community center – the place where the county nurse stays when she is here.
Saturday, February 9, 1924 — The moving picture “Why Women Remarry” played tonight at the Timberville Theater. It was good but not many people present.
Thursday, February 8, 1923 – A pie social was held at the schoolhouse tonight. It was given by the Alumni Association. About thirty pies were sold. Total receipts were $68.40.
Thursday, February 11, 1926 – Cold and a great deal of wind this forenoon. Snow drifting made the road impassable between Timberville and Broadway on the Bluff
Thursday, February 7, 1924 – A singing was held at the Old Folks Home from 7:00 – 8:00 o’clock tonight. The singers and inmates all enjoyed the evening.
February 1, 1948 – An unofficial temperature of 40 degrees below zero was recorded at the Will Hoover farm East of Timberville
February, 1948 – The Timberville street lights were turned on for the first time.
