Saturday, September 14th, we had The Autumn and Antique Car Show on Main Street and what a turnout!! We had over 100 cars and tons of people drooling over many of the Antiques and Street Rods.
I spent a large amount of time sitting on the benches under the porch at our shop. I visited with many car guys, old friends, former classmates and even an old girlfriend! I even saw some relatives I hadn’t seen for years and a former Church family. This is the first show we did not have to fix a car to make it safely home.
If you came and didn’t notice, this event was run by The Broadway Town Council, and they did a great job! In 30+ years of this show, this is the only one that I did not have a single complaint (except for wasps) about the weather, parking, etc. I feel blessed to live and work in this area as there are many wonderful people around.
We are currently getting ready to go to Carlisle and Hershey, two of the largest shows we attend where they expect around 200,000 people to attend, many from foreign countries. If you come to either show, we are at spaces II5-14 at Carlisle and C4X1 – 11 at Hershey. We also have clean Jiffy Johns! We usually don’t buy much Chocolate at the show because it actually costs more there than Walmart.
If you have any car questions or want to dispose of any older vehicles, please stop by.
