We are Sam and Kim Wilkins and we are retired full time RVers in search of 70 degree weather. Our home is now a 42-foot fifth wheel.
We sold our home and most of our belongings in order to see what this great United States has to offer by way of beautiful scenery. Along the way we have met some of the nicest people.
I flew back to Virginia for a loved one’s surgery which went very well and recovery has been going amazingly well. Still treatments ahead so thank you so much for all your continued prayers.
We’ve been looking for a second vehicle to use when I am in WV for the summer and found what we were looking for down here in FL. Sam has always wanted a Jeep and they do seem to be a very popular choice for RVers. We hope our purchase will be everything we hope.
Our friends Jim & Charlene, who we met in our first year of full time RVing, camped here for a while and I was able to create another gourd basket, this one took a little more difficult and it took a bit longer to finish but Jim is an excellent teacher.
We’ve made friends with several couples we met our first year here in FL and they have made a trip here each year to come visit us. These youngins are excellent cooks and invite us every evening for some wonderful food and great fellowship around a campfire. We call them our FL kids and we’ve come to love them.
While I was in Virginia Sam and a few of his friends, there were six friends at one point, replaced our awning on our camper. Between the sun and the wind it was looking very worn. Full time living has its wear and tear on our home and upkeep has to happen.
It’s been an unusually cold winter here but our friends and family are not feeling sorry for us. We pray everyone in VA and WV are staying safe warm with all the weather you’ve been experiencing.
Blessings until next time.
Kim
