New Market Area Library presents Author, Coe Sherrard, aka E.A Coe for March Adult Library Lecture
Date: March 12 at 2:00 p.m.
Place: New Market Library
Coe Sherrard, local author, former owner of Woodstock Café, and retired naval aviator will talk about his newest novel, “Pedaling West”, which is due to be released in April. In addition, other local authors can benefit from his experience with self-publishing vs. working through a publisher.
In his newest novel, lead character, Carrie Brinkley lost her job and her boyfriend during the opening weeks of the pandemic and decides she needs to reset her life. A cross-country bicycle trip from Virginia Beach to Mendocino, California, might do that, but she isn’t aware she carries with her information that could implicate her former boss in a fraud. During the idyllic journey across the continent, her greatest danger isn’t from angry animals, road hazards, or the elements—but from determined criminals who want to kill her.
As readers vicariously accompany Carrie in her discovery of our beautiful country from her seat over two wheels, they are kept anxious by the perpetual danger she faces. The story is fictitious, but the communities and geography Carrie visits aren’t.
