Monthly Business Networking Meetings in Broadway

Eugene Bare by Eugene Bare
November 2, 2023
in Community, Featured

Broadway, a quaint town nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, has become the vibrant hub for local entrepreneurs. Every month, a dynamic group of professionals gathers at Broadway Coworking, located at 202 N. Main Street, to participate in the Monthly Business Group Meetings, initiated by the Shenandoah Capital Fund, a prominent Valley non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing businesses and fostering thriving business ecosystems and Broadway Coworking and Event Space.

The first meeting in September was held over a light breakfast, bringing together individuals from various walks of the business world. Encouraged by the initial success, the group reconvened for a second time in October, this time over lunch. The unanimous consensus emerged: noon was the ideal hour, accommodating the diverse schedules of participants and ensuring a robust turnout. This trend was more than evident in the attendance figures, with a consistent showing of 25-30 attendees, a number that is steadily growing with each subsequent gathering.

The upcoming meeting is scheduled for November, promising yet another engaging session of networking, learning, and collaboration. What sets these meetings apart is not just the experiences by attendees, but the diverse spectrum of businesses represented. Participants range from home-based entrepreneurs to established brick-and-mortar establishments, creating an enriching environment where innovative ideas collide with seasoned expertise.

The backbone of these gatherings is the facilitation provided by the Shenandoah Capital Fund, a stalwart in the local business support community. Their expertise in nurturing enterprises, combined with the support of sponsoring businesses, has injected vitality into these meetings. Companies like F & M Bank, Bare Web Design & Marketing, Precision Concrete, Broadway Hometown Partnership, The Chimney Rock Chronicle, The Cottage on Lousia and Park View Federal Credit Union have graciously lent their support, fostering an atmosphere of growth and camaraderie.

At the core of these meetings is the spirit of friendship and collaboration. The attendees not only network with fellow entrepreneurs but also engage with knowledgeable presenters who share insights and expertise on various facets of business. Each session is a treasure trove of wisdom, a melting pot of ideas where participants learn not just from the presenters but from each other, creating a synergy that they hope will benefit everyone.

People have been from all over the Valley. From the charming town of Staunton in the south to the picturesque towns of Timberville and Woodstock to the north, and even across the mountains in Page County, businesses of all kinds have found common ground on Broadway. This geographical diversity has added a unique flavor to the meetings, enriching discussions with perspectives from different corners of the Valley.

Another perk to these gatherings is not just the intellectual exchange but the delightful refreshments provided by the generous sponsors. As participants delve into discussions, they are treated to an array of treats, courtesy of local businesses, enhancing the overall experience and fostering a sense of community.

The Monthly Business Group Meetings in Broadway hope to become more than just networking events, but a true entrepreneurial community. The stage is set for November, when Broadway will once again come alive with the spirit of entrepreneurship, reminding everyone that in collaboration, there is unlimited potential. Any entrepreneurs that’s interested in attending or would like to sponsor an event should contact Eugene Bare at Broadway Coworking for RSVP details and event schedule.
