We are praying for all those affected by the fires that are in WV and VA.
We are Sam and Kim Wilkins and we are retired full time RVers in search of 70 degree weather. Our home is now a 42-foot fifth wheel.
We sold our home and most of our belongings in order to see what this great United States has to offer by way of beautiful scenery. Along the way we have met some of the nicest people.
A group of us visited Payne’s Prairy Preseve where there were lots of wildlife. We saw mostly alligators but there were also deer and birds. It was a sunny day so many of the alligators were out sunning themselves. There was a raised boardwalk which allowed seeing them from above.
We were visited by our friends, Charlie and Cheryl, who we met just before starting our full time RV Lifestyle when we stayed at the KOA Kampground in Broadway. They live Zephyrhills FL, about 2 hours away. We always have fun catching up with them and hearing about their plans and where they are headed to be work campers for the summer and where they are headed.
Our basket making friends stopped by on their way home to Pennsylvania and I made another gourd basket. What fun that is.
We became grandparents for the 11th time. Our youngest and his wife blessed us with a granddaughter. Her name is Clover Michelle Wilkins and she weighed in at 7 lbs 15.75 oz and was 20 inches long. Thank goodness for technology. Clover’s big sister, Penelope, was able to Facetime us to tell us all about her, she is such a proud big sister.
I celebrated turning 65 and was blessed by many phone calls, cards, texts and posts on social media. Sam took me out for some great seafood at a place called Whitie’s Fish Camp. Our friend W. C. Comer grilled some venison. Some of the ladies took me out for a great lunch as well. Turning older has its advantages.
We have been praying for all those affected by the fires in our home area, both West Virginia and Virginia. For all those fighting the fires, for those who’ve lost homes and those who are dealing with power outages. Our hearts reach out to you.
Blessings till next time.
Kim
