Healing Hands in Broadway: Ivy Creek Wellness and Massage Opens Its Doors

Broadway has a new place for relaxation and healing with the recent opening of Ivy Creek Wellness and Massage, owned and operated by Jessica Powell. Located at 413 S. Main Street, Second Level, Broadway, VA 22815, Ivy Creek officially opened on August 12, and Jessica is already welcoming new clients with a mix of experience, passion, and a personal touch.

Jessica has been practicing massage for the past three years, receiving her training at Cedar Stone and gaining hands-on experience there before stepping out on her own. Though she lives near Linville, Broadway felt like the right place to grow her business—especially since her husband once served with Rockingham County Fire Department in town. “I knew I wanted to do something in Broadway,” Jessica explained. “This community deserves access to specialized care.”

A Spark of Inspiration

For Jessica, massage isn’t just a career choice—it’s something that has been with her since childhood. She recalls her grandmother rubbing her back when she was young, planting a seed of comfort and connection that eventually grew into a passion for helping others through touch. “I always had massage in the back of my mind,” she said. “After 2020, I realized it was now or never.”

A Variety of Massage Services

What makes Ivy Creek Wellness stand out is Jessica’s approach to tailoring every session to the client. All of her massages include the use of hot stones unless a client prefers otherwise. Beyond therapeutic massage, she is trained in myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, prenatal, sports massage, and trigger point therapy. Her specialties are myofascial release and lymphatic work, but she’s comfortable providing a range of services to meet individual needs.

She offers sessions in lengths of 45 minutes, 70 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes, with her 70-minute service being the most popular. Specialty sessions like lymphatic drainage involve carefully chosen stones, Castor oil, and techniques designed for full-body wellness.

Joy in the Work

Jessica is quick to say that this doesn’t feel like just a job to her. “Since opening this space, I don’t feel like I’ve gone to work a single day,” she said with a smile. “Taking care of people takes care of me—I really enjoy it.” That passion translates into the atmosphere at Ivy Creek Wellness, where every session is approached with care and genuine enthusiasm.

Building for the Future

Currently, Jessica is the sole massage therapist at Ivy Creek Wellness, but she has plans to grow. The space has three treatment rooms, with one fully functional and others being prepared. “I’d love to eventually bring in other therapists and even offer couples massages,” she said. Her long-term vision is clear: “I want to be here 30 years.”

Booking Made Simple

Appointments are by appointment only and can be booked online at ivycreekwellness.glossgenius.com. Clients may also call or text Jessica directly at 540-333-8726. Ivy Creek Wellness is active on Facebook and Instagram under Ivy Creek Wellness.

Why “Ivy Creek”?

The business name has special meaning for Jessica. At her home, a winding creek follows the driveway, lined with vibrant greenery in spring and summer. “I’ve had the name in mind for years,” she said. “It just felt right to bring it to life here in Broadway.”

With her blend of skill, warmth, and vision, Jessica Powell is bringing a new sense of wellness to Broadway—one massage at a time.
