Honors Band is a local event that brings together Band members representing all the Rockingham County and Harrisonburg City School Bands. An awesome group of Band members from both JFH and BHS were selected for the 2025 Honors Band event, which was scheduled for January 10-11. Unfortunately, this year’s event was canceled due to the snowy weather. Congratulations on your hard work both as musicians and being good humans, even though the event didn’t happen–we are still proud of you!
District Band is an auditioned event that brings together Band members from schools in VBODA District V, which runs down I 81 from Page County to Bath County. JFH and BHS members who were selected for the 2025 District Band event will spend the last weekend of January rehearsing together at Staunton HS as they prepare their final performance. Several BHS students will also be auditioning for All-State Band in February (* All State Eligible). Again, we are so proud of all of you!
