December, 1941 – No beer or wine is to be sold in the town from 12:00 p.m. Saturday to 6: a.m. Monday. Mr. Kelley, owner of the restaurant, will be notified immediately. (Brian Kelley) –(building built 1932 – Lester Garber, first restaurant – Paul & Thelma Campbell.)
April 3, 1947 — A motion was supported that the council go on record as favoring the change of the route number through Timberville from Rt. 260 to Rt. 42. (New Market road used to be 260)
John W. Grim in the old bowling alley building (Minnick & Arehart) was a dealer in old stamps, coins, Confederate, and Broken Bank bills. Also war souvenirs and Indian relics. Advertised as the largest collection of this sort in the Valley of Virginia. He was in business there form about 1895 – 1907.
December, 1941 – Council decided to authorize a petition to be circulated to enlarge the corporate limits of the Town of Timberville.
In 1927, Bowers & Hoover were selling automobile tires, The cost was $5.75. They were Speedway 30 x 31/2 Clincher tires.
September, 1927 – an apple grading demonstration was held in Timberville to show how apples should be packed under the new Virginia Grading Law.
