Hello friends,
Well, January was a long year, wasn’t it? I hope you stayed warm and dry during the snowy, sub-zero days. I think I should earn some kind of medal for keeping the woodstove going and the house warm on a night when the temperatures in Broadway dipped to minus 4.

And on that coldest night of the year, I had to keep the pipes from freezing and the house from turning into an igloo without Randy’s help. He was in the hospital with a serious collection of blood clots in his lungs. We are so grateful that one of the six lobes stayed open long enough for the medical team to burst the clots lodged in the other five. Perhaps he’ll tell you the complete story sometime.
When the ball drops in Times Square in the newborn minutes of a new year, we feel a sense of freshness, optimism, and new beginnings. Maybe January wasn’t all we’d hoped it would be. But there’s always February. And if Punxsutawney Phil cooperates, maybe spring won’t be far away. But when you think about it, each day offers opportunities for resets and restarts. Every morning allows us to adjust our focus and count our blessings.
I hope you have a fantastic February. Enjoy the brand-new daffodil, hyacinth, and crocus sprouts, and dream of the spring gardens just around the corner.
Take care,
Until next time,
Tammy
