When you walk in the door of the old schoolhouse, Fulks Run resident Katie Payne, one of the most self-assured and pleasant 18-year-olds I have had the pleasure to meet, greets you at the door, welcoming you in.
Her family purchased the old Mount Pleasant one room schoolhouse, adjacent to their family home, and are in the process of renovating it. It is being resurrected as Katie’s farm produce shop.
A changing array of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with breads and pound cakes made by Katie, are available.
Stay tuned for an article about Katie and her new venture in the August Issue of The Chimney Rock Chronicle. In the meantime, drop by the shop, which is right across from Fulks Run Elementary.
See store hours below, and be sure to get some delicious lemonade from FRES student, Saige Payne while you shop!
