We are Sam and Kim Wilkins and we are retired full time RVers in search of 70 degree weather. Our home is now a 42 foot fifth wheel.
We sold our home and most of our belongings in order to see what this great United States has to offer by way of beautiful scenery. Along the way we have met some of the nicest people.
We have been in Lost River West Virginia since October 25th and have had some great family fun times. We are close to Kimsey Lake and enjoyed an afternoon of dropping in a line or two with a couple of grandsons. The scenery here in the West Virginia hills always makes my heart skip a beat.
Our kids and grand kids live in Virginia so they are close enough to come see us and we have also ventured out to see them as well.
I was blessed to visit Sight & Sound in Lancaster Pennsylvania with a dear friend to see “Queen Esther”. What wonderful and meaningful messages this presentation has to offer. I am always amazed at the sets and costumes that make the presentation come to life. Cannot wait to see David (and Goliath) next year.
Sam is preparing for deer hunting next week and enjoying some serious male bonding with family and friends. He is a member of a camp that has been together for 15 years and does enjoy the camaraderie.
While he is hunting I plan to travel to Gilmer County West Virginia, where my parents were raised and are now buried, to visit lots of cousins and family friends. I very much look forward to reconnecting with my family. At this age spending quality time with family I have known all my life means so much especially since some have already passed, some even younger than me, at too young of an age. Please take time to enjoy your family now, life is too short.
We hope and pray that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy family and friends during the Thanksgiving holiday. We give thanks on a daily basis for all of the blessings this full time RV lifestyle brings in order to enjoy retirement.
We are also thankful for our health that gives us the ability to hike and walk and climb to see the glorious sights this United States has to offer.
Lastly we are so thankful for being gainfully employed for many years to allow the financial planning for this lifestyle. It is never too late to start.
God has been so good to us and we trust and have faith that He will continue to guide us and watch over us in everything we do.
Blessing to you all this Thanksgiving holiday.
