As usual, I end up looking for rare and unusual parts for the vintage cars we are restoring. When it comes to other things we need, there are some valuable services here for us locally. It is hard to beat Broadway Metal Works for all types of steel articles. We go to Top Bead for all things aluminum, as well as odd shapes and aluminum welding. Bryan Tool handles our delicate and intricate work as well as advice. We also get many parts from Advance Auto in Timberville. We couldn’t get by very well without Broadway Automotive for tires, alignments and other services and Custom Exhaust can’t be beat for exhaust work. From Harrisonburg, we order automotive parts from O’Reilly’s, Fisher Auto Parts and Napa. Harts Towing helps us with long distance hauling and delivery. We also appreciate the many neighbors who have old parts that we frequently can use. And how could we get by without all the local eating establishments to keep us going?
We are delighted to show anyone through our operation. If you have any company visit, we are happy to show them around as well. Please remember we are closed on Friday, so we can attend auto shows, etc. If there were a better location for a Restoration Shop, I would have no clue where it would be!!
By the way, we recently had the 1954 Willys Jeep we restored shown at Fall Hershey, the “Superbowl” of car events. It won the highest award given by the Antique Automobile Club of American. It also won the Antique Automobile Club of America 2024 Military Award. It is here for a few “nits” to correct, so stop by if you want to see it.
