2025  Summer Band Programs 

Our popular JFH Summer Band program will run in three segments this year.  Arrive or leave when you need too, and attend on the days that you can; just please COME, and have a great time!

Summer Band at JFHMS  runs for two weeks in JUNE

JFH Summer Band is voluntary and sessions are free!

Open to rising 7th-12th grade Band Members, who already play an instrument in Band

Free rehearsals (pack a lunch), from 9am-1pm

Meeting on Tues, Wed, Thurs only, during the week of June 10-12

Meeting on Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs,  June 16-19.

Use door #8 (the Band room door off the back parking lot) for drop off/pick up

Beginner Band Exploration

JFH Beginner Band is voluntary and free!

Open to rising Sixth graders and rising (first year in Band) 7th/8th Band Members

June 16, 17, 18, 19, 1:00pm-2:00pm

Use door #8 (the Band room door off the back parking lot), for drop off/pick up.

This is a great time for new students who “aren’t sure if Band is for them”, to come and explore! Beginners who know Band is where they want to be, can also get a head start on their instrument for the fall. Stop by and try out an instrument or two! Current Band members are also welcome to come in and help, or try out new instruments themselves. Contact Cathy Brown with questions,  cbrown@rockingham.k12.va.us

Summer Middle School Band Academy held at Montevideo MS

Open only to rising 7th-9th graders in RCPS middle schools

Free rehearsals, pack a lunch;  we will rehearse from 9am-3pm

Rehearsals will meet on Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri  during the week of July 8-11  

Bus transportation to and from MMS will be provided, from the JFHMS bus loop.
Parents may also provide their own transportation to MMS if they wish.
