On January 10th, a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon, the annual rabies clinic was held at Fulks Run Ruritan Park. As usual, the wonderful Broadway Veterinary Hospital’s Dr. Tom Burgess, his wife Gloria, and several of their techs were in attendance. Bridgewater 4H members, Lena and Larry Custer, Lindsey Fulk, and other Ruritans were also on hand to assist. The new Rocking-ham County firehouse was offered as a drive through, so no one had to stand out in the rain. It was much appreciated! Attendees also had the opportunity to get Rockingham County tags for their dogs. In total, 172 dogs and 16 cats were vaccinated. A big thank you goes to all, especially to Dr. Burgess and his team, and Rockingham County Emergency Response Station 12 for opening their doors to shelter all from the downpour!
