Hello and Happy February!
February is a short month, but it’s packed with activity for our family. We celebrate two birthdays, Valentine’s Day, and a wedding anniversary! Finding times to celebrate that fits everyone’s schedule is sometimes a challenge. Here’s hoping!
We’re just a month (plus change) away from Spring! I like winter, but this past January has tested that fondness to the limit. I can’t remember the last time a cold spell lasted this long. And then there was the snow that gave us an unexpected week-long winter break from school. We’ve just done some remodeling in the back bedrooms, and this “vacation” has given me extra time to move into my brand-new office. Hopefully this revamped space will help me with my life-long struggle to organize my stuff (writing, stickers, journals, art supplies, research materials, and books—lots and lots of books!). We’ll see.
We hope you enjoy the stories in this month’s Chronicle. Some of you have requested an updated list of drop-off points for the CRC. Look for that list in this issue. We print 2200 copies of the paper, and they seem to disappear quickly. I hope you’re able to find a drop-off place near your house.
Enjoy the 28 days of February. By the time you read this, we’ll already know what Punxsutawney Phil has told us about the forecast for the next six weeks. I’m hoping he sees spring and not his shadow this year!
Take care and we’ll chat again in March.
