Happy March!
This morning the fog is so thick I can’t see Rt. 259 from my classroom window. Still, I can feel spring just around the corner. Last week I woke up to spring birds singing outside my window.
It’s been a long, dark winter, and I am grateful for a change in the weather.

We celebrated our February birthdays this past Saturday. It’s crazy trying to coordinate four different family schedules, but we finally managed to get everybody in the same house at the same time! It was so nice to catch up with all the kiddos.
Are you planning your garden yet? Randy and I have decided to try something different this year: container gardening. Every year we start out with high hopes for our freshly plowed space. We plant the seeds, water, weed, and tend up until about mid-July. And then the novelty wears off when we suddenly need to battle draught, weeds, and blazing sunshine. We’re hoping if we plant in containers, we’ll be able to keep up with our gardening chores. If you have any tips or suggestions, we’d love to hear from you!
One last thing. We at the CRC realize there is a lot of bad news out there. We don’t bury out heads in the sand. However, we choose to focus on the positive in our little paper. Our mission is to share local, uplifting stories without controversy and without political slants. We want to be a breath of fresh air in a world where it’s sometimes hard to move past the negative. Thank you for supporting us!
Have a wonderful March!
Tammy
