We are Sam and Kim Wilkins, and we are retired full time RVers in search of 70 degree weather. Our home is now a 42-foot fifth wheel.
We sold our home and most of our belongings in order to see what this great United States has to offer by way of beautiful scenery. Along the way we have met some of the nicest people.
We had a visit from our granddaughter, Deandra, and spent a very busy week. We ate some seafood, went to St. Augustine Beach, took a glass bottom boat ride and, when her brother Bryan joined us for a day, we also took an airboat ride. After the airboat ride we were able to hold a baby alligator. We had such a good time, and it was wonderful seeing family so when they left it was no surprise that I got very emotional. Thankfully we will be back in West Virginia soon and will be able to see many more family members and friends.
I participate in Bible Study Fellowship and there are three other women at our campground who are also participants. During one of our Zoom calls my friend, Joyce, suggested we all meet up since she was in FL as well, so we did. The five of us ladies met at a restaurant in Palatka FL and had such fun meeting in person and sharing thoughts about our Bible Study.
We are winding down our own stay in Florida and have attended a Central FL Grand Design rally further south of our campground. It was located at Canopy Oaks RV Resort. While we were there we visited Lake Kissimmee State Park. It is a beautiful park, much different from most state parks I’ve experienced in West Virginia but still quite nice.
My cousin, Janet, is going through some problems, she fell off a ladder and hit her head and is dealing with a brain bleed. She gets confused and conversations can be difficult. She is currently in an assisted living facility very close to her son’s home. She could certainly use your prayers. I pray every day for those dealing with cancer, there are so many friends and family dealing with treatments.
We celebrated Easter Sunday by watching an online service from the church I usually attend in FL and hearing about Jesus’ resurrection. He is risen indeed.
Blessings till next time.
Kim
