April 3, 1930 – Hard freezes several nights the previous week were estimated to have cut the Timberville area peach crop by two-thirds.
April 1930 – The Timberville home talent minstrels were to put on a show in the New Market Tow Hall on April 7.
April 1950 – Persons seeking election to town offices at Timberville were: John Branner, Mayor; and Orville Neff, M.C. Orebaugh, G.G. Gordon, Garrett Armentrout, Garrett Neff, B.W. Hite, Berlin Ryan, Oliver Stoneburner, and Vernon Kipps
April 1949 – Edward Will, principal of the Timberville High and Graded School, was elected president of the Virginia High School Leagues.
April 1909 – Wheat was bringing $1.40 a bushel. This was the highest price in eight years.
April 1090 – Dr. B.B. Bowers announced that he would be beginning his veterinarian practice in the Timberville area.
April 1929 – Three orchard tracts containing almost 200 acres and owned by Floyd Bowman was sold to H.H. and T.B. Byrd.
Friday, April 28, 1922 – A five-reel comedy was playing at the Columbia Theatre in Timberville tonight. It was almost a full house.
Thursday, April 21, 1921 – The Brethren Sunday School Class gave the play “Lena Rivers” at the school tonight. Auditorium was about full. The play was given to benefit the school for the purchase of additional playground.
Saturday, April 26, 1924 – “The Prince, The Pauper,” written by Mark Twain, is playing tonight at the Columbia Theatre. It was a simple, easily understood picture.
