Last month, on Sunday, March 29, a ceremony was held at the Rockingham Circuit Court House, to present and dedicate a monument honoring local Vietnam veterans.
Among the many who attended the ceremony, was Lorie Knupp Shiflet, honoring her uncle, (Billy) William Pangle. Her mom, Joan Knupp, is the last one living of the seven siblings.
Delores and Elwood Reid visited the memorial also.
The event included Wreath presentations, and a welcome and closing by Hon. Chaz W. Haywood.
