Thursday, May 22,2025, the lawn of F&M Bank’s Corporate Office in Timberville was sizzling with the scent of community spirit—and grilled hotdogs—as friends, families, and neighbors came together to support the Timberville Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) at the “Hotdogs for Heroes” fundraiser.
Located right next door to the TVFD, F&M Bank was thrilled to host this grassroots community event. As the Timberville Volunteer Fire Department works to raise funds to cover the cost of a recent purchase —a new Ford F-250 pickup truck—a vital tool for supporting emergency response and operational needs across the community—F&M Bank stepped in to help rally public support.
Over 250 hotdogs were grilled and served the old-fashioned way, bringing smiles to attendees of all ages. In addition to food and fellowship, the event featured a 50/50 cash raffle and a chance to win a Yeti Cooler filled with locally sourced goodies.
Both raffles will continue accepting entries during the Timberville Volunteer Fire Department 2025 Lawn Party, scheduled for June 19–21. Raffle entries can be submitted at F&M Bank’s table from 6–9 PM each night of the Lawn Party. Winners will be announced on Monday, June 23 at 9:00 AM on F&M Bank’s Facebook page.
“F&M Bank has deep roots in Timberville, and we’re honored to support the incredible men and women of the Timberville Volunteer Fire Department,” said Candy Barkley, F&M Bank Assistant Vice President. “They respond selflessly day and night to keep our community safe. Helping them secure a vehicle that supports their mission is the least we can do.”
Donations are still being accepted to help TVFD reach their fundraising goal. Visit the donation page by scanning the QR code below or clicking the link provided. Every dollar counts toward equipping our heroes with the tools they need.
F&M Bank extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who came out, gave generously, and stood behind our local fire department.
