Merry Christmas Month,
2025 is fast coming to a close, and we’re celebrating another birthday for the CRC! Our first issue went to the press in December 2018. I can’t believe we’re starting our eighth year of publication. Thank you, readers, for making this small-town newspaper a part of our community. And thank you, advertisers, for making our paper possible. We couldn’t exist without you!
November has been its usual whirlwind, and despite having an “extra” hour added to the day, it seems I’m always running to catch up! Despite multiple journals and planners, I’m still finding it difficult to fit everything in and still stay (slightly) sane! ☺ I’m looking forward to the calmer month of January when I can take advantage of the empty calendar and enjoy long evenings by the woodstove. My TBR pile is taking over the shelf by my recliner, and there are new books coming out every week! What a lovely dilemma!
The weather has sure taken a cold turn. As I’m writing now, the temperature has dropped to 32, and the wind chill makes it feel like the mid-twenties. Randy and I were talking the other day about how this year has felt more like the “old days” in terms of seasonal changes. Spring gradually turned into summer, and summer faded into fall more fluidly than recent years. Maybe we’ll have a couple of old-fashioned snows as well! I wouldn’t mind adding a few snow days to the school year.
I hope you and your family have a most wonderful holiday season! All of us here at the Chronicle look forward to the new year when we can share more stories and more positive news with you!
Take care and stay curious!
Tammy
