The Marge Moyers Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to two Shenandoah County graduates for 2022. The first award for a four scholarship for a future teacher went to Bethany Pearsall, a graduate of Strasburg High School who will be attending Radford University to study English Education. The second scholarship, presented to a Triplett Tech student, went to Travis Payne, a graduate of Central High School who will be attending the NASCAR Technical Institute.
The Marge Moyers Memorial Scholarship which was established in memory of the late Marge Moyers, a teacher and school board member from New Market, VA., sponsors a golf tournament each fall to help fund annual scholarships. This year’s tournament will be held October 22 and 23, 2022, at the Shenvalee in New Market, VA. For more information on the golf tournament, contact Eddie Litten at elitten@shentel.net.
