Faith-based nonprofit invites a new leader to carry forward decades of ministry helping people overcome sexual and relational brokenness.
By Eugene Bare
In 2008, Kathy Kipps asked God where He wanted her next—and His answer came quickly. Two weeks after joining Greater Hope, a nonprofit ministry devoted to helping people heal from pornography addiction and relational struggles, the organization’s former director stepped down. Kathy soon found herself leading a life-changing mission that she has guided with grace, faith, and compassion for more than fifteen years.
Now, as Kathy prepares to step back from her role as Executive Director, she and her husband Ron—who leads the men’s ministry—are prayerfully seeking someone to carry on Greater Hope’s mission.
A Ministry Rooted in Restoration
Founded about 30 years ago by local churches, Greater Hope exists to offer hope, healing, and wholeness through Christ’s transforming love. The organization serves the Shenandoah Valley through small-group programs that combine prayer, teaching, and community support for those seeking freedom from sexual and relational brokenness.
“Hundreds of people have received hope and healing through Greater Hope,” Kathy said. “It’s been amazing to watch God weave His tapestry in people’s lives.”
An Opportunity to Lead with Purpose
Greater Hope’s board is now searching for a new Executive Director—a faith-driven individual with a heart for ministry and a passion for helping others find freedom in Christ.
The ideal candidate will:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the ministry and office.
- Build and maintain relationships with churches, donors, and community partners.
- Lead fundraising and outreach efforts.
- Work closely with the board of directors, which meets six times per year, and provide financial updates to the treasurer.
This is a salaried position with a flexible work schedule—and, as Kathy describes it, offers “the joy of watching people heal.”
Kathy intends to remain available in a supportive role indefinitely, ensuring a smooth transition. Ron will continue his active involvement in the men’s ministry, providing continuity and mentorship for the next leader.
A Legacy Built on Love
Reflecting on her journey, Kathy says she’s seen God’s promise fulfilled again and again. “I’ve been reckoned as the woman at the well who drank of the living water and never went back to her old way of life,” she said. “God has allowed me to share that living water with others who were thirsty for healing.”
An evangelist once told her she would bring people to Christ’s healing by the wagonload—and she has. Now, Greater Hope is looking for the next person willing to get their hands dirty in the Lord’s work and continue that calling.
Answering the Call
If you feel led to ministry and have a heart for helping people find freedom and wholeness, Greater Hope invites you to prayerfully consider this opportunity.
